Mina Johnson Ranson and her daughter Mina Virginia Ranson Chewning were great cooks.  My husband S. Thomas Chewning,Jr always has a word about Grandma Ranson Lemon Cake, Wine Jelly or Mama's Spaghetti and so on and on.   I decided to put it all  on paper and offer a  cookbook not only for the recipes but for the stories that go with them.   Bremo Bluff has been blessed over the years with many wonderful cooks.  I unfortunately am not one of them, but I have had the pleasure of sampling their wares.  This cookbook is also about them and Bremo Bluff hospitality.
